PB Match (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the PB Match mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and full name.
  • Profile Information: You may optionally provide a phone number and profile photo.
  • Match Information: When you create or participate in matches, we collect the location, date/time, and any notes you add.
  • Connections: We store information about your connections with other players.
  • Player Tags: If you create tags to organize your connections, we store the tag names and associated players.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: We collect your device’s push notification token to send you notifications about matches and invitations.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including matches created, invitations sent and received, and connection activity.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Create and manage your account
  • Facilitate match coordination between players
  • Send push notifications about match invitations, waitlist updates, and reminders
  • Communicate with you about the App
  • Ensure compliance with our Terms of Service

How We Share Your Information

With Other Users

  • Your name and profile photo are visible to users you are connected with
  • When you create or join a match, other participants can see your name
  • Match hosts can see participant names and response statuses

With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the App:

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Access and Update

You can access and update your profile information through the App settings.

Notification Preferences

You can manage your notification preferences in the App to control which types of notifications you receive.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@pbmatch.net. Upon deletion:

  • Your profile and personal information will be removed
  • Your match history and connections will be deleted
  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

International Users

The App is primarily intended for users in the United States and Costa Rica. If you use the App from other locations, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
